What you’ll do
As a Financing & Risk Solutions Associate, you’ll support the effective management of transactions, making sure activities remain aligned with the bank’s conduct, operational, credit and regulatory requirements. You’ll collect and analyse portfolio data to identify covenant breaches, performance deterioration and early warning indicators across Subscription Line investor-backed lending facilities and NAV asset-backed lending facilities supporting Private Equity portfolios.
You’ll also help track utilisation across capital, leverage, funding and related measures, while contributing to portfolio monitoring, process improvement and automation initiatives that strengthen reporting, oversight and operational efficiency.
Your work will focus on:
Maintaining the asset pipeline and working with stakeholders to provide accurate portfolio insights and reporting
Conducting trend analysis to identify covenant or trigger breaches, escalating potential risks and deterioration indicators where appropriate
Tracking resource consumption against budgeted levels and supporting actions to optimise capital and funding usage
Building strong relationships with internal teams to support effective information flow and portfolio oversight
Demonstrating awareness of regulatory obligations and internal policies, ensuring compliance in all activities
Participating in internal workstreams and cross-functional initiatives that enhance the control environment and reporting infrastructure
The skills you'll need
You’ll need to hold an MBA in Finance or a CA, CFA or FRM qualification. You’ll have working knowledge of financial databases including Bloomberg, Intex, Reuters, Factset and Dealogic, alongside strong understanding of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
You’ll also bring experience working within a daily cash management, fixed income, investment banking or credit research analytics environment supporting a debt business. Familiarity with fund structures and financing products, together with strong knowledge of ratio analysis, sector drivers and basic financial modelling, will be key to your success in the role.
You’ll also demonstrate:
A basic understanding of portfolio concepts, including exposure, returns and risk metrics
Strong working knowledge of Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Awareness of internal reporting processes and governance standards
Experience compiling MI reports and supporting senior analysts or portfolio managers
Experience of data validation, reconciliation, and trend analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationship with key stakeholders
