Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer / Senior QA Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Selenium, Postman, and Python, along with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices. This role is based at the client's office in Chennai.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.

Build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium.

Perform API testing using Postman.

Develop automation scripts using Python.

Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.

Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and technical documentation.

Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure timely delivery of quality releases.

Support continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must-Have Skills

5–8 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.

Strong hands-on experience with Selenium Automation.

Experience in API testing using Postman.

Good programming/scripting knowledge in Python.

Experience in test case design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Willingness to work from the client's office in Chennai.

Good-to-Have Skills

BFSI/Insurance domain experience.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.

Knowledge of performance or security testing tools.
