Daher’s Industry Division site in Stuart, Florida is a key U.S. manufacturing facility specializing in the assembly of complex metallic and composite aerostructures for major commercial and defense aircraft programs. The site produces large, critical aircraft structures - including wings, fuselage sections, and structural assemblies - for leading aerospace customers such as Boeing and Gulfstream, combining advanced manufacturing, industrialization, and quality‑driven production processes. As part of Daher’s global Industry Division, the Stuart operation emphasizes safety, precision, and continuous improvement while supporting high‑rate aerospace production and investing in workforce development, technology, and long‑term growth in the North American aerospace market.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Program Purchasing Manager to support our aerospace operations by leading sourcing, supplier management, cost reduction initiatives, and contract management activities across development and production programs.

This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Program Management teams to ensure supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and successful program execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, aerospace industry experience, and a proven track record of driving purchasing excellence.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

Manage purchasing activities for assigned programs throughout development and serial production phases.

Develop and maintain program purchasing budgets and productivity plans.

Lead sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, RFQ management, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations.

Negotiate and manage supplier agreements, long-term contracts, and pricing structures.

Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for productivity improvements.

Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and support strategic sourcing decisions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new program launches, product changes, and supplier transitions.

Monitor supplier performance and support risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.

Ensure all program-related business awards and modifications are covered by appropriate contractual agreements.

Manage supplier claims and support the resolution of commercial issues.

Present purchasing performance, savings initiatives, and project updates to leadership and internal stakeholders.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain organization.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.

Experience in the aerospace, aviation, or aeronautical industry.

Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with ERP systems and purchasing/supply chain management tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in English.

Preferred

Master’s degree or advanced education in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.

Professional purchasing or supply chain certifications.

French language proficiency.

The compensation range is $75,000 to $85,000.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Daher considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.
