Job Title - Gen AI Developer

Location- Hybrid @ Toronto*

Job Summary

AI ML Engineer Generative AI Machine Learning and Applied Research We are seeking experienced SA level. AI ML Engineers to design develop deploy and optimize enterprise AI and Machine Learning solutions. The role covers AI development ML engineering and applied research across the complete AI lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design develop fine tune deploy and maintain Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Deep Learning and Generative AI solutions

Build AI powered applications copilots intelligent agents chatbots and workflow automation solutions

Develop and optimize Machine Learning Deep Learning Natural Language Processing Computer Vision and Large Language Model solutions

Conduct AI research experimentation model evaluation benchmarking and proof of concept development

Design and implement scalable MLOps pipelines for model training deployment monitoring governance and lifecycle management

Perform data preparation feature engineering model validation performance tuning and production support

Implement Retrieval Augmented Generation prompt engineering vector databases knowledge graphs and AI orchestration frameworks

Collaborate with business stakeholders product owners architects and engineering teams to deliver AI driven solutions

Ensure compliance with Responsible AI security governance and regulatory requirements

Create technical documentation solution designs research findings best practices and reusable accelerators

Required Technical Skills

Strong programming skills in Python Java Scala or similar languages

Hands on experience in Machine Learning Deep Learning Natural Language Processing Generative AI and Large Language Models

Experience with TensorFlow PyTorch Scikit Learn MLflow Databricks LangChain Semantic Kernel or similar AI ML platforms

Experience with Azure AI Azure OpenAI AWS Bedrock SageMaker Google Vertex AI or equivalent cloud AI platforms

Knowledge of MLOps CI CD Docker Kubernetes model monitoring and production deployment

Experience with vector databases embeddings prompt engineering Retrieval Augmented Generation architectures and AI agent frameworks

Understanding of AI governance explainability model evaluation Responsible AI and model risk management

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Data Science Statistics Mathematics or a related discipline

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $80-99K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
