Job Overview:

The LPL Strategic Initiatives team is seeking an AVP with a strong background in both strategy and project management to help LPL solve complex challenges and become the best firm in wealth management. As a trusted team member, you will analyze data to help develop strategic recommendations, lead cross-functional working groups to drive outcomes on key strategic initiatives, and act as a project manager across multiple workstreams to ensure that projects are advancing on schedule.

The ideal candidate for this role has a combination of business acumen, wealth management experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and project management experience to assist with the development and delivery of our strategy. A background in corporate strategy or consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Support strategic initiatives that promote address key opportunities LPL is facing, including initiatives focused on improving the advisor experience and strategic partnerships / engagements

Bring together market research, data analysis, and cross-functional team support to build business cases, draft strategic recommendations, and provide overviews on LPL’s performance across key dimensions

Translate our strategy into action plans leveraging an agile development method to help team execute in an iterative manner that allows for pivots as our strategy and the wealth management market shifts

Challenge the status quo to ensure that strategies are stress-tested and that LPL continues to evolve into an undisputed industry leader and disruptor

Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal business partners to strategize and develop innovative solutions and new offerings to drive advisor satisfaction and growth

Effectively leverage data, voice of the client, and competitive intelligence to support story-telling in a way that paints a compelling picture that leads to cross-functional executive buy-in. This can be done through creative deck-building as well as taking a role in presenting to varied audiences

Work cross-functionally to understand advisor needs and address gaps in LPL’s current offerings to ensure we are continuously meeting the needs of our advisors

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or program & project management

Experience in the financial services / wealth management industry

Willingness and ability to travel, as needed ( Core Competencies:

Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present materials to the highest levels in the organization and serve as one of the recognized subject matter experts on the team

Competence in delivering results through a combination of individual contributions and partnering with other key team members across an organization broadly

Desire to be part of an entrepreneurial team and an ability to succeed within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, grounded in tangible results

Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to work independently with limited direction to meet the needs of the team

Preferences:

Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data, evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner

Pay Range:

$129,677.00 - $216,197.00

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
