The Company:
What is a typical day like at the Johns Lyng Strata? The answer is never dull. Johns Lyng Group has been established since 1953 and have a reputation for excellence. Our Strata Services team take pride in providing emergency, direct, maintenance and insurance building services to the insurance and strata community nationally, working with small to large strata brokers, strata managers, strata schemes, owner corporations and property managers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Estimate for strata direct works projects, including remedial works
Engage directly with key strata management clientele
Build strong relationships & work closely with key strata managers, strata schemes, owners corporations and property managers
Ensure monthly sales budgets & quotation turnarounds are achieved
Obtain trade quotations & ensure trade coverage for competitive pricing structure
Conduct & complete project handover meetings with site supervisors
Engage with key stakeholders to drive increased work volumes and job conversion rates
Identify variations to scopes prior to quote submission
Review & sign-off quotes prior to sending to ensure accuracy
Provide monthly estimating statistics to management
Deliver construction projects from commencement to completion
Determine construction methodologies from detailed scope of works
Engage, coordinate & manage trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events.
Key Selection Criteria:
Do you have proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy? Are you extremely motivated and can think outside the box? Being able to demonstrate and highlight examples of these are the key criteria for you to be successful in joining our existing talented and passionate team. The following selection criteria is also important, but we are happy to teach and mentor you along the way.
Building Trade, Estimating or Site Supervisor experience
Strata, Building Management, or Insurance background ideal, however not essential
Excellent communication & customer service skills
Ability to build effective relationships with both internal & external stakeholders
Strong customer service skills
Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
Good work ethic & highly motivated
Strong computer skills & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Familiarity with OHS practices, legislation & regulations
Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities
Current & valid motor vehicle license
