Reporting to the BOQ Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Understanding how the BOQ estimating system operates

Attend to BOQ queries in the BOQ Support Inbox

Produce Bills of Quantities in accordance with company specification, construction and purchasing requirements, ensuring that bills are accurate and available to meet sales and operational objectives

Prepare BOQs for all new Products

Contribute to the development and management of the BOQ estimating system & processes

Make corrections to BOQ’s based on feedback from the production estimating, drafting and construction teams as directed

Amend BOQ’s as directed due to design, regulatory and/or specification changes

Create ‘new items’ in the estimating system data base as required for inclusion in new BOQ’s

Liaise with BOQ Team Leader (Price File) on format of item and number scheduling

Forward to Procurement any indicative or actual item costing if available; and

Monitor and run through individual workflow as allocated by your BOQ Manager.

The successful candidate will have:

2+ years in an estimating role, preferably within the volume home building industry

Currently studying or completed a qualification in Building & Construction is essential or trade experience is highly desirable

An ability to interpret, understand and communicate working drawings together with construction detail drawings

Intermediate Microsoft WORD and EXCEL computer skills

Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities; and

Working knowledge of the building and construction process
