About the Team

The Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (QPRS) is based at the QCH and has close links with other hospitals and service providers. The service operates within a state-wide model, with an interdisciplinary structure and an emphasis on child and family-centred care, evidence-based practice and the use of outreach and telehealth technologies to provide high quality tertiary health programs to children with rehabilitation needs. Care is provided through inpatient services, day rehabilitation, outpatient and outreach services.

About the Role

In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

Leadership / Work Unit Management

In consultation with the project steering committee and key stakeholders & consumers, apply contemporary project management knowledge, methodology, and skills to develop a project plan including a clinically meaningful value-based evaluation plan, and ensure the project is implemented with high quality deliverables that will improve capability and access to clinicians across the state who can support the transition of adolescents with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and their families/carers

Clinical Practice

Advanced clinical knowledge to enable high quality clinical care for adolescents with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Apply advanced level of knowledge of contemporary trends in service delivery models, including value based healthcare and identify opportunities and strategies to create an evidenced-based and consumer co-designed Transition Coaching program that is attuned to the clinical needs of patients and capability building needs of clinicians.
