About the Venue:

8 Bishopsgate is a diverse, multi-outlet tenant driven operation with an incredible range of hospitality. 8 features two café bars; a restaurant on level 26; The Lookout on level 50; executive dining and meeting rooms plus an auditorium for up to 200 guests. In addition, we cater events across the building.

Role Purpose:

We're seeking a hands on Assistant Event Operations Manager to help deliver our diverse portfolio of events at this prestigious 8 Bishopsgate. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional events, leading teams, and creating memorable guest experiences, this role is for you!

What we’re looking for

A proactive and detail-oriented events professional with previous experience in event operations, hospitality, or venue management.

You'll be a natural leader with strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional events.

Expereince in events within a premium hospitality environment with exposure to managing direct reports. This role would be great for a events supervisor looking for the next step up!

What you’ll be doing

Support the planning and delivery of high quality events, ensuring client expectations are consistently met and exceeded.

Take a hands on approach to event operations, leading by example and supporting teams on the floor.

Motivate, train, and develop event staff through structured briefings, coaching, and pre-event meetings.

Ensure all team members adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain exceptional service standards.

Collaborate with internal departments to support seamless event execution and operational excellence.
