Job Description

As AJ Bell continues to grow, we’re recruiting for a Senior UX Designer to produce designs for our award-winning platforms. This is an opportunity to play a key role within our UX team, influencing design direction, championing user-centred thinking, and helping to establish a shared UX vision across the business. We're looking for someone with at least six years' UX experience and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

What you'll do:

Creativity: demonstrate expertise in creating seamless user experiences across all digital channels.

Ownership: help lead the end-to-end UX design process across product areas.

Brand knowledge: follow and contribute to wider branding initiatives and help facilitate our brand promise of “feel good investing” into different experiences.

Design Systems: create and maintain components in a Figma library, bringing creative ideas to help iteration.

Contribute to the development of our new design guidelines and component libraries.

Collaboration: collaborate with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams, playing a key role in fostering strong partnerships and a culture of collaboration.

Decision making: make informed and strategic decisions in the design process, balancing user needs, business considerations and creative goals.

Research: illustrate skills in designing and overseeing comprehensive usability testing processes, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Be an advocate for UX in the wider business and look for opportunities to showcase UX.

Inspire and motivate team members, whilst providing mentorship and guidance.

Contribute to weekly UX Critique sessions.

What you'll bring:

A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a UX role.

Expert in prototyping software (Figma, XD etc).

Deep understanding of user psychology.

Accessibility expertise.

Experience in guiding or mentoring junior team members.

Ability to juggle multiple projects.

A naturally creative and inquisitive approach.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

A self-motivated and ambitious attitude.
