Senior Procurement Manager
What you will do
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead and evolve our procurement function as our global product portfolio continues to grow. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver sustainable value across direct and indirect spend within a complex multinational manufacturing environment.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead a team of 6–8 procurement professionals and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development teams to support growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
How you will do it
Strategic Procurement Leadership
Develop and execute a global procurement strategy aligned with business growth and new product introductions.
Lead category strategies across direct materials, components, subcontractors, and selected indirect spend.
Drive strategic sourcing initiatives that improve cost, quality, supply continuity, and risk management.
Embed procurement early in project and product development activities.
Project & Programme Procurement
Lead procurement activities across key projects and programmes.
Manage sourcing from concept through supplier selection, execution, and scale-up.
Develop sourcing plans, supplier roadmaps, and risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure suppliers are aligned to project milestones, budgets, and performance expectations.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 6–8 procurement professionals.
Build strategic procurement capability through best practices, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative, commercially focused culture.
Supplier & Vendor Management
Build strong strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
Lead complex commercial and contract negotiations.
Drive supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and service.
Cost, Risk & Value Optimisation
Deliver cost savings and value improvement initiatives.
Balance cost, quality, and operational requirements using a total cost of ownership approach.
Strengthen supply resilience and proactively manage procurement risks.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance
Act as the senior procurement representative within project and governance forums.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual standards, and audit requirements.
Use ERP and procurement systems to track spend, supplier performance, and commitments.
What we look for
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
10+ years' procurement experience within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven experience developing and delivering strategic procurement and sourcing strategies.
Strong background in project-based procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing significant spend.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Project Management functions.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Preferred
Professional procurement qualification (CIPS or equivalent).
Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
Familiarity with project governance and stage-gate delivery models.
Advanced ERP and procurement systems experience (SAP or equivalent).
Experience supporting new product introductions and complex supply chains.
