Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team in Moberly, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, verification, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic control and monitoring circuitry used in powered equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronic hardware design, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a passion for developing innovative, safety-critical electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, analyze, debug, verify, validate, and document electronic hardware assemblies using industry-standard engineering practices.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to gather and define product design requirements.
Support existing products by analyzing electronic circuits and identifying design improvements or application solutions.
Perform system-level and subsystem-level safety analyses, including:
Hazard Analysis
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
Create electronic schematics and collaborate with PCB layout engineers to develop printed circuit boards.
Perform board bring-up, debugging, low-level testing, and validation of electronic assemblies.
Develop, execute, and document product verification and validation plans in compliance with ISO 26262.
Work closely with software engineers and engineering technicians during hardware/software integration and testing.
Interpret engineering drawings and apply critical design characteristics to ensure product quality.
Follow all company 6S and Safety Guidelines.
Perform additional engineering duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Equivalent applicable work experience may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 3+ years of experience in electronic hardware design preferred.
Experience with electronic simulation tools is a plus.
Automotive or commercial vehicle electronics experience preferred.
Experience with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) is highly desirable.
