Key Responsibilities:

The Staff Rep – Cargo Technology Products supports the facilitation of United Cargo's technology product strategy for our Operating system, SkyChain. This individual provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders and ensures timely resolution of technical issues for systems that are used by the Cargo Business. Ensures compliance with all internal and external service level agreements and provides accurate and timely reporting of incidents, defects change requests and projects. The Staff Rep will liaison with Technology Products Team members and business stakeholders and IT counterparts to ensure technology issues are addressed within the agreed timelines. This individual will be well-educated on system functionality and use that knowledge to promote opportunities to Technology Products Team members.

The Staff Rep documents, justifies, and supports the prioritization of all activities working with cross-functional team. They partner closely with IT and vendor counterparts to ensure requirements, testing and maintenance work are accurately documented and thus facilitating efficient and effective implementation of technology initiatives for Cargo operating system. The Staff Rep coordinates prioritization efforts, partners with subject matter experts to gather requirements and solution approvals, organizes technology release activities, coordinates testing and supports result analysis.

Supports the daily reporting and coordination of technology deliverables to ensure a coordinated approach that aligns with Cargo's strategic direction. Manages intake for incidents, defects, CRs and projects

Coordinates prioritization while partnering with subject matter experts to gather requirements and solution approvals. Organizes release activities including but not limited to coordinating testing and supporting results analysis.

Communication/Relationships - Function as the subject matter expert, representing the business, for Cargo operating system for specified functional area, Cargo IT and technology vendor staff. Partner with other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategy. Communicate strategy and progress to Manager, keeping them abreast of new developments and the competitive landscape. Promote the intake funnel, request prioritization process and communicate progress of each request.

Note: This is a Chicago based hybrid role, with in-office requirements 50% of the time.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

1+ years of related experience (preferably in Cargo Operating Systems)

Proven experience successfully collaborating with stakeholders on technology initiatives.

Proven experience developing and implementing strategies for large scale technology initiatives.

A strong, hands-on working knowledge of Cargo Operating System functionality and capabilities.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and effectively guide stakeholders to a desired outcome.

Strategic thinking and strong communication skills (verbal & written), Ability to see beyond today's process and recommend more efficient methods to optimize Cargo's operating system to maximize its potential. Strong collaboration skills.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

MBA preferred

Working knowledge Cargo industry technology platforms preferred (competitor platforms)

Being a subject matter expert (SME) in the noted technology platform

Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.

The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
