About the role
Role: AWS Engineer with expertise in AWS Cloud, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, Automation, Security, and Containerization, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.
Experience: - Minimum 8+ Years
Location: - Chicago, IL (3 days/Week)
Responsibilities: -
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud environments.
Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring solutions.
Configure and manage AWS networking components including VPCs, Route Tables, Security Groups, Load Balancers, and VPNs.
Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, secrets management, and compliance controls.
Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning across cloud environments.
Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements are met.
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
Educational Qualifications: -
Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 8 +years of overall IT experience with at least 7+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Experience implementing secure and compliant cloud solutions.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with Healthcare IT applications and data platforms.
Healthcare industry experience / knowledge (Provider, Payer, Life Sciences, or HealthTech).
Experience with data migration and integration projects.
Exposure to Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or healthcare data lakes.
Knowledge of AI/ML services on AWS.
Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
