Assistant Vice President - Data Science and Analytics

What are we looking for?

The Sales Analytics & Strategy team at Data Labs partners with business channels to enhance and shape sales strategies through advanced analytics.

We're seeking candidates who are passionate about leveraging technology and data to transform insurance sales and elevate the customer experience.

What does the job entail?

Identify analytics opportunities to enhance sales performance and product offering

Collaborate with cross-functional sales channel teams to develop and execute an analytics roadmap

Translate business challenges into structured problem statements and technical solutions

Lead end-to-end data analytics project from design and development to implementation & performance tracking

Own the product lifecycle of analytics applications, including requirement gathering, BRS documentation, release planning, and coordination with engineering teams

Ensure engineering rigor in solution design, data quality, and scalable implementation

Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Work Experience

10- 12 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning and business problem solving skills

Essential Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; a Management degree is preferred

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in analytics-driven environments, preferably in financial services, sales, or marketing

Strong foundation in analytics and engineering principles, with a focus on scalable, production-grade solutions

Experience in requirement mapping, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration

Hands-on expertise in ML techniques: GLM/ Regression, Clustering, Decision Tree, etc.

Proficient in Python and SQL; Experience with AWS and GCP is preferred.
