Position Purpose and Summary

As the Manager of Production Planning & Control, you will be the central orchestrator of our supply chain, translating product indents into supply plans. This is a strategic role that requires a blend of analytical rigor, cross-functional leadership, and a forward-looking mindset. You will be responsible for ensuring that our production capabilities are perfectly synchronized to cater to market demand, optimizing inventory levels to maximize service while minimizing costs. By collaborating extensively with S&OP, sourcing, merchandising, and logistics teams, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, ensuring product availability and contributing directly to our overall business success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Understanding the demand through S&OP

Understand the demand from S&OP and communicate the same to Vendor partners for capacity Booking/alignment.

Use forecasting tools and AI-driven models to improve accuracy.

Inventory Management

Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Avoid both overstocking and stockouts.

Leverage ERP systems for real-time tracking and visibility.

Supply Planning

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align production schedules with demand.

Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

Balance capacity constraints with retail requirements.

Supplier Coordination

Work closely with suppliers through Sourcing team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Manage lead times and mitigate risks of supply disruptions.

Negotiate and maintain service level agreements (SLAs).

Data Analysis & Reporting

Use analytics tools to evaluate supply chain performance.

Identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

Support decision-making with actionable insights.

Risk Management

Anticipate and mitigate risks related to supply, demand, and logistics.

Develop contingency plans for disruptions (e.g., supplier failure, demand spikes).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with procurement, logistics, sales, and finance teams.

Align supply planning with business goals and customer expectations.

Analytical Acumen: Must be highly proficient in data analysis, capable of interpreting complex datasets to forecast demand, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.

Technical Fluency: Deep, hands-on knowledge of ERP systems, advanced planning software, and modern forecasting tools (including AI/ML models).

Problem-Solving: A proactive and results-oriented approach to identifying potential disruptions and developing effective, pre-emptive solutions and contingency plans.

Person Profile

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.

8+ years of progressive experience in production planning, supply chain management, or a related role, preferably within the jewellery, luxury goods, or retail industry.

Demonstrated expertise in inventory management principles and demand forecasting techniques.

Proven, hands-on experience with a major ERP system (e.g., MS D365).

Preferred Qualifications:

An MBA or a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations.

Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or retail environment.

Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
