About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Implement the Italian Medical Affairs activities in alignment with regional and global medical strategies and local marketing and sales plans
Provide scientific and medical expertise across therapy areas and product portfolio and pipeline products
Identify medical needs, scientific developments and emerging clinical trends relevant to Orion's products and therapeutic areas
Ensure medical activities support business objectives while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards
Timely dissemination of updates and information relating to medical and scientific matters to relevant parties
Act as the primary medical contact for the Italian affiliate for internal customers and external customers (e.g HCPs)
Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory , Market access teams to support product launches, lifecycle management initiatives and brand activities from a medical perspective to shape brand and campaign plans and support the development of sales and marketing materials as appropriate
Provide the medical review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials
Create and maintain relationships with KOLs and HCPs as necessary
Represent Orion at scientific congresses, advisory boards and medical meetings
Collaborate with global medical colleagues to ensure alignment of medical activities and priorities
Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, medical societies and other relevant stakeholders
Ensure that all medical activities comply with applicable Italian regulations, AIFA requirements, EFPIA/Farmindustria Code requirements and Orion policies
Support pharmacovigilance processes, ensuring the appropriate handling and reporting of adverse events and product quality complaints.
Contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of medical procedures and SOPs.
Support audits, inspections and compliance initiatives when required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline
Good Experience within Medical Affairs in the Italian pharmaceutical industry
Experience working with healthcare professionals and key external stakeholders
Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix environment
Experience on branded products (generic and not generics) in retail and Hospital channel

Ability to translate complex scientific information for different audiences

Ability to build credible relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals

Good understanding of pharmaceutical industry compliance requirements and medical governance
Ability to analyze medical insights and convert them into actionable recommendations
Fluently in English and Italian
