Position Objective
Provide strategic leadership to create superior outcomes for the Group’s IT strategy and ensure that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place including the ongoing development and maintenance of in-house built systems. Provide mentorship to team leads and managers ensuring the best experience possible for employees and students. This key position oversees ~ 90 team members across Corporate IT. Use exceptional relationship skills to influence key stakeholders with key initiatives, ensuring alignment with current and future business objectives. The Navitas Group operates a decentralised IT structure over four distinct divisions that rely on common Group run and developed student and learning management systems. Key to this position is working with Divisional IT teams to deliver world class student experiences.

Key Accountabilities
Developing and implementing Technology strategy which aligns with the Navitas Group strategy
Championing the responsible adoption of AI, automation and data-driven technologies across the Group, embedding practical AI tools and insights into Corporate and Divisional systems to improve student, staff and business outcomes
Establishing governance, risk and responsible-use frameworks for AI and emerging technologies, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory requirements
Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Group Applications, Group Infrastructure and the Group Information Security teams to deliver Secure, Resilient and Agile solutions
Leads the strategy development, execution, delivery and operation of all IT services that are provided to the Corporate Functions across Navitas, including HR, Finance, IT, Property, Corporate Communications and Legal
Partnering with the CEOs, CFOs and IT Heads of the Divisions to align on strategy and deliver world class student experiences
Defining, monitoring and reporting on KPIs and IT budgets to assess and report on the IT functions’ performance
Continuous improvement and growth of Infrastructure and broader IT Systems
Foster a ‘low-cost, high velocity’ mindset and culture whereby the team does its utmost to reduce costs; retire technical debt; and increases the speed with which we deliver Innovation and Solutions to our end customers
Develop and deliver a suite of technology solutions that enables high performing teams, through accelerated innovation and data-driven insights, at scale
Managing relationships with IT partners/vendors with a view to consolidate and establish key partnerships
Ensuring critical incident management and disaster recovery plans are in place
Working with the Navitas Executive Leadership Team as required
Maturing and harmonising the global IT culture
Developing campaigns and feedback mechanisms that promote and market the IT function within Navitas and the IT industry

Qualifications
Essential
Previous experience and track record in a similar capacity within an IT Executive position
At least 12 years’ experience successfully delivering outcomes within the IT industry
Experience managing a medium to large sized team
Superior executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong commercial acumen
High attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships cross functionally/Divisions to achieve objectives
Track record successfully developing and implementing IT strategy, including software development, Cyber Security, Cloud Platforms and AI/Data capabilities
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation or advanced data/analytics capabilities to deliver measurable business, operational or student-experience outcomes
Legal right to work in Australia
Desired
Experience within the education sector
Experience establishing AI governance, ethics or Responsible AI frameworks within a corporate or regulated environment
