Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Sr. Manager, Regulatory Compliance Operations, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the operational infrastructure that supports Vancity’s Regulatory Compliance function. You will ensure governance, reporting, issue tracking, documentation, and workflow coordination are efficient, consistent, and regulator-ready, enabling scalable and well-controlled compliance execution across the enterprise. This role is ideal for a strategic operator and people leader who brings strong governance expertise, operational rigor, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across complex compliance environments.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Regulatory Compliance. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Leading the design and continuous improvement of operational processes, controls, and governance routines supporting regulatory compliance execution
Owning governance infrastructure including committee support, reporting production, action tracking, and documentation standards
Overseeing compliance-owned policies, procedures, inventories, logs, and repositories to ensure accuracy and consistency
Managing regulatory intake, triage, and workflow coordination to support prioritization and escalation of compliance activities
Developing and monitoring KPIs, operational metrics, and management reporting to enable informed decision-making
Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions including automation opportunities
Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless compliance operations and execution
Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the compliance function
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
8+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, governance, or operational management within financial services
Proven experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, operational processes, or compliance infrastructure
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance practices, controls, and reporting requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage complex workflows, prioritize competing demands, and drive operational efficiency
Experience developing KPIs, management reporting, and operational metrics to support decision-making
Strong leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
Professional designation such as CPA, CRCM, or similar
Experience with automation, workflow tools, or compliance technology platforms
Familiarity with regulatory change management and enterprise governance practices

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $122,400 to $158,400 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
