South Tyneside Council’s Housing Services are looking for an experienced and motivated project manager in the role of Operations Manager – Asset Projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority housing provider committed to investing in homes, neighbourhoods and communities. You will play a key role in delivering capital projects that improve the quality, safety, sustainability and performance of our assets, ensuring residents receive high-quality services and value for money.

As Operations Manager - Asset Projects, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of planned investment, refurbishment and major works programmes across our housing portfolio. The role will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of housing investment, building safety and improvement projects across our social housing stock.

Working as part of the Asset Management Team you will build effective relationships with repairs, building safety and housing teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a team of project professionals and work with internal delivery teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver a wide-ranging programme of investment works.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong track record of delivering housing investment, construction or asset-related projects and someone who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, ensuring projects achieve positive outcomes for tenants and communities.
