The Role: Analyst, Global Financial Crimes Compliance Enterprise Threat Mitigation

The Global Financial Crimes Compliance Enterprise Threat Mitigation Analyst will report to the Director, Global Financial Crimes Compliance Enterprise Threat Mitigation and will provide support to S&P Global’s independent centralized review, research, and analysis of clients, vendors, event attendees, and other third-parties that may implicate Global Financial Crimes Compliance risks (including, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, AML Customer and Third-Party Due Diligence)

This role requires a combination of screening operations experience and some familiarity with sanctions laws and regulations; including those of the United States - Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), United Kingdom, and European Union and other authorities in the territories in which S&P Global operates.

The role requires limited prior experience in Global Financial Crimes Compliance and will provide the opportunity to learn regulations associated with this important compliance discipline.

Responsibilities:

Supports GFCC in operation and enhancement of the Financial Crimes Compliance screening process.

Screens clients for applicable sanctions and other potential regulatory concerns.

Assesses sanctions risks and other financial crimes compliance risks, escalating potential issues as appropriate.

Utilizes enhanced due diligence research platforms as needed.

Documents the results of S&P Global’s screening reviews with appropriate disposition findings

Supports any special projects or critical projects which may arise.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Compliance experience in Financial Services or Brokerage Firm.

Knowledge in conducting client due diligence including but not limited to the use of third-party platforms (e.g., Dow Jones, LexisNexis, World Check).

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated and well-organized; able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.

A forward-thinking approach to work, with proven experience integrating AI and modern technologies to automate routine tasks, streamline operations, and foster smarter workflows

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years demonstrated Sanctions Screening experience; dispositioning of sanctions alerts in a transactional screening setting and conducting ownership due diligence is a strong plus.

Bachelor’s degree a plus.

ICA, ACAMS, ACSCA or other industry related sanctions certification preferred.
