Senior Android Engineer - Bangalore

We are looking for an Android Developer with 3–5 years of experience to build and scale Android applications across mobile and Smart TV platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android architecture, and building high-quality consumer-facing applications.

Requirements

3–5 years of hands-on Android application development experience

Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java

Experience building Android applications using Jetpack Compose

Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Architecture Components, and modern Android development practices

Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, StateFlow, LiveData, RxJava, and reactive programming concepts

Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt

Strong understanding of Android design patterns including MVVM, MVI, MVP, UDF, and Clean Architecture

Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving

Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services

Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows

Understanding of Android application performance optimization, debugging, and testing

Experience developing applications for Android TV or Smart TV platforms is a strong plus

Exposure to unit testing, instrumentation testing, or SDK development is good to have

Exposure to iOS development using SwiftUI or UIKit is a plus

Must be able to share live Play Store links of applications they have significantly contributed to

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications across mobile and Smart TV platforms

Build scalable, maintainable, and performant Android applications using modern development practices

Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver new features

Optimize application performance, stability, and user experience

Write clean, reusable, and testable code

Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

Stay updated with the latest Android ecosystem, tools, and best practices

Contribute to code reviews and engineering quality standards
