IT Project Manager (contract)

US based remote role with a preference for a candidate near McLean, VA, Dallas, TX or Memphis, TN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technology professional to join our in-house Cloud Platform Engineering and Operations team, where you will play a pivotal role in driving cutting-edge, consumer-facing technologies that are transforming the hospitality industry on a global scale. Reporting to the Senior Lead Project Manager, you will bring your technical expertise and project management acumen to support a wide range of initiatives, including cloud migrations and modernization, network and security architecture, data and AI/ML platforms, business continuity and disaster recovery, and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities:

Develop project plans and schedules and document them in Confluence and Microsoft Project

Create and assign tasks for project work in Jira and follow up with project team members on task completion

Provide reporting on assigned projects by updating Jira epics and preparing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations

Schedule and facilitate weekly project meetings to support project planning and execution

Lead project teams to successfully accomplish the scope and deliverables of assigned projects

Coordinate with team members to update monthly program reports

Attend daily escalation calls as a representative for the Cloud Database Admin Team

Skills:

Strong proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and documentation

Experience managing projects using both Waterfall and PMP methodologies

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams and drive results

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders

Familiarity with cloud platforms, migrations, and modernization initiatives

Knowledge of network and security architecture, data platforms, AI/ML, BC/DR, and enterprise integrations

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools

Experience:

5+ years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field

5+ years of work experience in project management, preference for prior work with AWS or Database Administration

5+ years of experience using Microsoft Project and Jira

3+ years of experience applying Waterfall project management and PMP methodologies

PMP Certification is preferred

Pay Rate Range

72 - 83 USD hourly
