Power Electronics Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
Support the definition, development, and advancement of innovative power electronics technologies and architectures, including feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and technology roadmap activities
Develop simulation models and preliminary power electronics architectures for space applications
Provide technical support for proposals, tenders, and engineering studies, including cost estimation, risk assessment, and presentations to customers and stakeholders
Perform and support schematic, design, and PCB layout reviews while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical, reliability, derating, and EMC/EMI standards
Contribute to verification and validation activities, evaluating design margins, component selection, and technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle
Participate in anomaly investigations and root-cause analyses, assess test and failure data, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with suppliers and project teams
Your Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a comparable field
Several years of experience in the design and analysis of power electronics, power conditioning systems, or power distribution architectures, ideally within the space, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries
Strong expertise in analog and digital power electronics, magnetics design, control systems, stability analysis, EMC/EMI, and worst-case and reliability analyse
Proficiency in simulation and development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, schematic capture tools, and laboratory test and characterization equipment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong communication and technical documentation skills, with additional knowledge of ECSS standards, space-grade components, radiation-tolerant designs, hardware qualification, environmental testing, and FPGA-based power management systems considered an advantage
