We are seeking an Associate Manager, Commercial Training to join our Commercial Operations team, supporting our field-based commercial teams across Japan in a hybrid work mode. In this role, you will design, deliver, and coordinate product-specific and selling-skills training that strengthens the capability of our sales teams, while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Compliance, and alliance partners. Based in the Tokyo office, Japan, with regular travel to the field. This is a hybrid role.
Discover your role:
Lead training initiatives that enhance the sales team's knowledge and capability
Design and deliver programs blending e-learning, classroom, and experiential learning methods
Develop content and facilitate both new-hire and advanced training sessions
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Compliance, and alliance partners to align curricula with brand strategies
Ensure all materials are approved through the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory process
Conduct field visits to identify training needs and current trends
You bring emotional intelligence and flexibility when engaging diverse stakeholders
You actively seek feedback and stay committed to continuous learning
This role requires:
Native-level Japanese and a proactive commitment to improving English proficiency
Six years' experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech sales
Strong analytical ability across three immunology therapeutic areas to identify challenges and propose actionable solutions
Demonstrated mastery in presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; experience with online business training tools preferred
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills with a high results orientation
MR Certification
