Why does the job exist?
The position is responsible for auditing a variety of payment vouchers to internal and external entities to ensure accuracy and compliance with State/Federal rules and regulations and the NM State Procurement code. This position will maintain a state issue procurement card (P-card). This position will also be responsible for providing subject matter expertise to the various divisions and facilities.
How does it get done?
Conduct comprehensive and complete audits of standard vouchers, travel vouchers, Prior-Year vouchers, non-travel vouchers, and journal vouchers. They will review and submit documentation for warrant cancellations and reissue payments. Assist internal entities with transactions made with the agency's p-card. Prepare reconciliation documents related to expenses incurred on the assigned p-card. Assist as necessary to process invoices for payment. Assist with mailing of state issued warrants/ACH remittance. Provide guidance and assistance to DOH divisions and facilities, other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification
High School or Equivalency and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and/or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
