About the role

As Commercial Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping ENGIE’s commercial success across our B2B portfolio. You will lead commercial governance, pricing strategy, and the structuring of complex customer solution, ensuring decisions are profitable, risk‑aligned, and customer‑centric.

In this role, you will:

Lead commercial strategy, pricing, and governance to ensure profitable, risk‑aligned outcomes.

Negotiate complex agreements, including PPAs and bespoke customer contracts, and safeguard commercial terms.

Oversee exposure management and the commercial aspects of renewable schemes (LGCs, STCs).

Develop clear product propositions and a medium‑term product roadmap aligned to customer needs and market trends.

Partner closely with Origination, Sales, Trading, Portfolio Management, Legal and Risk to deliver seamless commercial execution.

Provide insights and guidance to senior leaders on performance, risks, and commercial opportunities.

Lead and support a small team, fostering capability, accountability, and a positive, high‑performance culture.

Champion ENGIE’s safety, wellbeing and compliance expectations.

About you

You’re an experienced commercial leader with strong energy market expertise and a partnership‑oriented approach. You excel at shaping strategy, making considered decisions, and bringing people together around balanced commercial solutions.

You will bring:

Extensive experience in commercial management within energy markets (preferably Australian B2B electricity).

Deep understanding of electricity market dynamics, hedging products and structures, exposure management, and risk principles.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate and structure complex agreements, including PPAs.

Strong product development capability and experience building product roadmaps.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across diverse teams and geographies.

Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority.

Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and sound judgement.

Clear and confident communication skills.

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Law or related field; AFMA accreditation highly regarded.
