Job Summary: This role is responsible for regulatory reporting operations to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness thereby maintaining a robust control framework. Acting as a control tower coordinator to organize governance meetings with Mumbai Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) report owners as well as ensuring qualitative information is submitted to the Operational Risk Committee. The role manages regulatory risks, incidents, and changes, drives continuous process improvement and automation, and ensures alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and internal standards, thereby supporting the bank’s regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and works closely with local and regional stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

Regulatory reporting operation

Regulatory reporting preparation, first level validation, control, and submission processes.

Ensure timely, accurate, and complete production of regulatory reports in line with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Maintain strong alignment with evolving regulatory expectations and supervisory guidelines.

Monitor and oversee offshored regulatory reporting teams to ensure delivery quality

Ensure 3RC sharepoint is appropriately updated

Process Improvement and Compliance

Review and continuously improve regulatory reporting processes, identifying control gaps and inefficiencies and automation opportunities

Propose, track, and implement remediation actions and sustainable solutions.

Translate regulatory texts into internal reporting rules, data definitions, and methodologies.

Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including application of regulatory reporting best practice.

Incident and Issue Management

Define, coordinate, and execute action plans for regulatory reporting incidents.

Work closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.

Escalate material risks, incidents, and decision points to senior management as required.

Regulatory Impact and Change Management

Conduct impact assessments for regulatory changes, perform gap analysis, and coordinate feasibility studies to propose solutions for systems, organization, and processes

Oversee outsourced and offshore production and ensure readiness for new regulatory requirements.

Prepare business requirements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system and process changes.

Maintain SOP/Documentation for each report with ownership

Governance and monitoring

Act as control tower coordinator for Mumbai GBTO regulatory reporting production activities.

Perform gap analysis of regulations/supervisory guidelines issued by regulators as applicable, in coordination with respective GBTO functions.

Submit data to the Operational Risk committee/Chair Mumbai GBTO reg report opco on the following

o Production performance and control

o Risks, incidents, and remediation status

o Regulatory changes and interpretations

o New product launches and business or organizational changes impacting the bank

Profile required

Academic Background (degree and major): Bachelor/Master in any field

Relevant Working Experience in number of years: 8-10 years’ experience in regulatory report in banking, financial institutions, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies required:

• Regulatory Focus: Experiences of regulatory reporting. Strong ability to work under pressure, particularly in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a natural aptitude for solving complex problems.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
