Project Lead

About this opportunity

The Project Manager provides independent oversight of complex, high-value construction projects, where technical delivery, stakeholder management and programme certainty are critical.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.

Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.

Positively engaging with Customers and developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships.

Managing teams to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures

Administering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project manager.

Producing and presenting to customers

Mentoring and coaching employees so that they realise their full potential

Preparing bids for services.

Managing service delivery for profit.

Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

Strong Project Management experience in Manufacturing facilities, Industrial buildings, Life Sciences or Healthcare.

Proven delivery track record in Southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal).

Clear understanding of legislation impacting building contracts.

Ability to motivate others (including providing support and encouragement) and to lead high-performance teams

Clear and effective communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.

Sound ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams.

Fluent level of English.

The flexibility to relocate for the right opportunity.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or technical education in the construction-related field
