About the role

Summary:

The Recruiter is accountable for executing a reliable, efficient and successful recruiting plan for the Company. By identifying and partnering with community based organizations, on-line sourcing, company sponsored or local recruiting events the Recruiter identifies exceptional employment candidates to join the Heightened Security team. The recruiter is responsible the presentation of and for ensuring all new employees participate in and successfully compete the Company's New Employee Orientation Training. Researches, develops, administers approved training courses to select employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

A. Recruitment

· Identifies sourcing for recruiting security officers, security managers, and administrative staff. Sourcing may include but is not limited to:

o Associations

o Community based organizations

o Government agencies

o Job Fairs (internal and external)

o Military, former military, families of military

o Trade or technical schools, colleges and universities

o Use of media such as web based or print advertising

· Reviews candidate credentials and conducts pre-screening and initial interviews.

· Maintains familiarity with all work locations to ensure complete understanding of site-specific requirements.

· Facilitates interviews with qualified candidates with respective Heightened Security Managers.

· Maintains constant and proper communication with employment candidates.

· Organizes, schedules and conducts new employee orientation training.

· Maintains all records of applicants pursuant to Heightened Security policies and procedures.

· Facilitate onboarding process including the accurate completion of I9 verification, wage notices, W4 forms and other onboarding documents

· Maintain compliance of onboarding packet with federal and state laws

· Monitor new hire assimilation – 30 day, 60 day and 90 day check ins and provides reports to HR Manager regarding feedback

· Compile HR compliance files for new hires

· Provide daily/periodic recruitment progress report as required

· Escalate delays/hindrances in the recruitment process to the HR Manager

B. Training

· Administer new employee orientation in accordance with company directives.

· Administer NYS sexual harassment training

· Researches, develops and administer select training courses dependent on:

o Trends in the industry

o Contract requirements

o Requests by Company Personnel

· Assess student performance and provide feedback to student and students manager for continued or increased performance.

B. General

· Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office

· Advise appropriate person of visitor’s arrival

· Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls

· Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

· Prepare accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods for CEO, CTO and Controller, Director of Operations and HR Manager as requested

· Back up the HR Admin during absences and breaks

· Any other duties as required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

· Be a minimum of 18 years of age

· Preferred Bachelor's Degree/ Minimum - Associate Degree combined with relevant experience

· At least 2 years of recruiting experience

· Must be authorized to work in the United States

· Recruitment experience in the physical security industry strongly preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. phones, fax machines and printers)

· Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance while providing superior customer service.

· Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

· Must have excellent organizational, multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

· Customer service attitude

· Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language both in verbal and writing

· Must have the ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality

· Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to remain in a seated position for up to 4 hours, however, general movement around the office and training room is required.

· Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.

· Must be able to operate company equipment such as radio, computer/keyboard.

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer usage, however, general movement around the office and training room is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
