Role description

Experience

3–5 years of overall SAP development experience.

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

Experience in at least two end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or template development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA ABAP applications using modern ABAP technologies.

Analyze, debug, and resolve production issues, including ticket handling, incident management, and change coordination.

Review functional specifications, prepare technical design documents, and develop scalable technical solutions.

Participate in implementation, rollout, enhancement, and application support activities across SAP modules.

Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.

Optimize applications for performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.

Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.

Lead technical discussions, mentor team members, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

SAP ABAP & S/4HANA

Expert-level ABAP programming with strong Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) skills.

Extensive experience in:

RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)

Core Data Services (CDS Views)

OData Services

ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP)

S/4HANA Data Modelling and Scripting

Strong expertise in:

ABAP Dictionary (DDIC)

IDocs

Workflows

Archiving

Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Technical Objects

Hands-on experience in ABAP debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.

Adobe Forms

Extensive experience in Adobe Forms development, enhancements, and technical design.

Ability to develop and support complex interactive and print forms in SAP S/4HANA environments.

Modern SAP Development

Strong experience with:

SAP Fiori integration

Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT)

SAP GUI

CDS-based application development

RAP Business Objects

OData service development and consumption

Preferred Skills

Exposure to SAP Joule for Developers and AI-assisted ABAP development capabilities.

Functional knowledge of Finance and Logistics modules.

Experience working in Agile development environments and DevOps-based delivery models.

Experience in production support, incident management, and change management.

Proven ability to contribute to SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement, and AMS projects.
