The Technology Business Enablement (TBE) team powers American Express Tech Strategy by enabling Predictability, Transparency, and Efficiency through best-in-class Tech Business Management (TBM) capabilities.
Within the TBE’s Technology Portfolio Management organization, the Senior Manager of Transformation & Product Strategy will drive the next phase of our enterprise TBM and portfolio ecosystem evolution. This role owns the product vision and transformation roadmap for our connected portfolio toolset, integrating planning, workforce, financial, and delivery systems into a cohesive ecosystem that enables better planning, technology investment transparency, and insight-driven decision-making.
As our TBM capabilities mature, this role will ensure our tools, data, standards, and operating model work together seamlessly - positioning the organization to leverage connected data for actionable insights and AI-augmented decision support.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in Product Strategy, Product Management, Technology Business Management, Portfolio Management, or related disciplines.
Experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for enterprise technology platforms.
Demonstrated ability to shape data strategy that produces AI-ready data.
Experience identifying and operationalizing AI-augmented business use cases.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving technology, finance, product, and engineering organizations.
Experience translating complex business problems into scalable technology solutions.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Agile product management methodologies and roadmap planning.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ApptioOne , Apptio Targetprocess , or comparable Technology Business Management platforms.
Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Technology Business Management (TBM), and portfolio investment planning.
Experience leading enterprise platform transformations and technology modernization initiatives.
Experience driving organizational change and user adoption for enterprise products.
Familiarity with AI-enabled product capabilities, automation, and data-driven decision making.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a customer-centric mindset.

Compensation
This Other role pays $104k-$175k/yr. Within typical range for other roles in United States.
