Senior Node.js Developer

On behalf of our Client, Mobilunity is looking for a Senior Node.js Developer

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for a modern cloud-native payments platform. You will work on integrating multiple payment providers, contribute to the platform architecture, and help ensure the system remains reliable, scalable, and secure while supporting complex financial transactions.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Node.js Developer with strong expertise in building high-performance backend systems for financial products. The ideal candidate enjoys taking ownership from design to deployment, is comfortable working with production microservices and PostgreSQL, thrives in a collaborative remote environment, and is passionate about building reliable, scalable, and maintainable software.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript

Build and maintain payment provider integrations and APIs

Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and queries

Contribute to microservices architecture and technical decisions

Write well-tested, production-ready code

Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability

Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and product team in a distributed environment

Requirements:

5+ years of backend development experience

Strong commercial experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL

Proven experience building production-grade microservices

Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure products

Good understanding of Docker, CI/CD, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS is a plus)

Experience with monitoring, debugging, and supporting production systems

Strong communication skills in English

Ownership mindset and proactive approach

Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail

Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed team
