Fleet Specialist Internship
About the role
What to Expect
At Tesla, we're driven by our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. The Fleet Operations Team optimizes our internal fleet of vehicles across EMEA, collaborating with local markets as problem solvers and on-the-ground support.
Join our Vehicle and Order Operations team within the Sales, Delivery & Service Organization for a dynamic 6-month internship. Reporting to the Fleet & Supply Management team, you'll focus on optimizing internal fleet management and new vehicle supply allocation across EMEA. This role involves responding to market requests, proactively communicating policies and recommendations, and driving process improvements - including using AI tools and automation to streamline operations and build scalable workflows. It's ideal for a proactive problem solver with a customer-focused mindset, eager to build analytical skills while juggling priorities and aligning diverse stakeholder interests in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with the fleet management team and internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, service, customer experience, logistics) to maintain visibility into fleet operations, including vehicle locations, conditions, and any required actions for improvements or reallocations.
Serve as the main point of contact for regional fleet coordinators, responding to inbound requests and providing proactive support.
Build and maintain playbooks and guidelines for inbound management, standardizing how requests are triaged, escalated, and resolved.
Use AI tools and AI-assisted coding (e.g. Cursor) to automate repetitive operational tasks, build dashboards, and generate fleet insights and analysis.
Work with the Used Cars team to integrate vehicle trade-in and resale processes, driving allocations to various teams (e.g., Service, Supercharging, Giga Berlin).
Contribute to optimizing internal fleet management across EMEA.
Manage day-to-day fleet operations, continuously improving processes, data structures, and inventory management (e.g., auditing pricing and maintaining market-specific vehicle assortments).
Liaise with the service team for updates on insurance claims, vehicle repairs, and other fleet needs.
Own ad-hoc projects, assist with periodic physical inventory audits, and introduce innovations to streamline workflows.
What You'll Bring
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related).
Strong data-driven and analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Familiarity with AI tools and automation - experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor) and a willingness to use them daily to solve problems and build solutions.
Ability to juggle priorities, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and align multiple interests.
Diligent, dedicated, and customer-focused with a knack for process improvement.
Experience in sales is a plus.
Tesla is also committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. Please let your recruiter know if you need an accommodation at any point during the interview process.
