Space Mission Analysis Engineer

Join our team and build the furure of space technology

We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Space Mission Analysis Engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to perform low-level mission analysis, including all related details. You will perform the necessary orbital analyses and technical estimates (power, delta-V, data, pointing) based on the mission objectives, as well as ensure the traceability of requirements. You will also be responsible for implementing the CONOPS defined by the Systems Engineering team in STK.

What you will be doing?

Perform mission analysis tasks for small satellite missions (orbit selection, orbit propagation, coverage, access windows, ΔV requirements, station passes).- Develop and maintain technical budgets (power, delta-V, pointing, etc).

Support verification by analysis of mission-level requirements.

Contribute to the development and evolution of internal mission analysis tools (Python-based).

Use STK to perform mission analysis and generate key performance indicators (KPIs).

Document results and contribute to technical reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.).

Interface with Systems Engineering and other teams to ensure coherence across mission performance budgets.

Support design iterations through analytical justification of key design decisions.

What do we need in our team

Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in space missions, preferably with small satellites or CubeSats.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Knowledge of orbital mechanics and mission analysis methods.

Experience in technical budget development (power, ΔV, pointing, etc).

Proficiency in Python for data analysis and tool development.

Experience with STK for mission analysis.

Experience in space radiation analysis.

Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles.

Work remotely a percentage of the time to be defined with the manager
