About the role
Applied Data Scientist (Storefront) - Fashion Ecommerce - Up to $250k + Equity
You get to build recommendation and ranking systems that millions of real people interact with, at a company that just hit a $10 billion valuation.
This is a business that crossed $1 billion in revenue in its sixth year. That is not an accident. It is the result of a company that takes technology seriously and builds its own internal systems rather than bolting together off-the-shelf tools. You are joining at a moment where the foundation is solid and the ceiling is still very high.
In this role you are sitting within the storefront team, working on personalization and ranking systems that directly shape what customers see and what they buy. Your work is in production. It touches real users at real scale. You report directly to the Chief Growth Officer, which means your work is visible, your voice carries weight, and you are not buried inside a sprawling data org somewhere nobody notices.
The equity here is genuine. When a company is at this valuation and still growing at this pace, that matters.
You have a strong background in Python, SQL, and applied AI/ML. You have built and shipped personalization, recommendation, or ranking systems in a consumer-facing environment before. You know what production actually means, and you have worked there. Your academic background is in statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline at an advanced level. You have spent meaningful time in industry doing this kind of work.
The role is hybrid, so you are in the Palo Alto office 3x / week and have flexibility the rest of the time.
