About the Role Develop and maintain core backend services for the Time Tracking Application, collaborating with various teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and security. The role involves designing and implementing APIs, optimizing database queries, and participating in sprint planning and code reviews. Success in this role means delivering robust, intuitive, and accessible applications that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop core backend services for the Time Tracking Application using PHP (Laravel/Symfony).

Design and implement APIs that integrate with payroll, HR, and project management systems.

Optimize database queries and schema (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for high performance and scalability.

Collaborate with UX designers to ensure the application is intuitive and accessible for all users.

Implement secure authentication and role-based access controls to protect sensitive employee data.

Work closely with QA engineers to ensure robust test coverage and high-quality releases.

Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions to shape the future of the platform.

Requirements

Develop software with 3–5 years of professional experience in PHP development, ideally with frameworks like Laravel or Symfony for T3.

Develop software with 5-8 years of professional experience in PHP development, ideally with frameworks like Laravel or Symfony for T2.

Design RESTful APIs with a strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration best practices.

Optimize databases with experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and database optimization techniques.

Collaborate using familiarity with JavaScript (Vue.js/React) for front-end integration.

Apply knowledge of secure coding practices and data privacy compliance (GDPR, SOC 2).

Solve problems with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Collaborate with excellent collaboration skills and a passion for building products that make a real difference.

Good to Have

Familiarity with JavaScript (Vue.js/React) for front-end integration.
