Bloomberg’s Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) and derivatives data and valuation services (BVAL OTC) offers a comprehensive suite of risk management tools that delivers consistent, consolidated results across our client's entire firm. MARS is powered by Bloomberg’s world-class pricing library, market data and mortgage cash flow engine, and together with BVAL OTC enables front office, risk, middle office, collateral managers, and other financial professionals to analyse their trading and investment portfolios, manage and mitigate their exposure, and ready themselves for any turn of events.
As part of Bloomberg’s Enterprise Relationship Services (ERS) offering, we provide a premium, high-touch service model designed to help clients maximise the value of our risk solutions through deep expertise, proactive engagement, and strategic partnership.
What’s the role?
We are hiring experienced risk professionals to join our ERS team as Risk Services Specialists, a group of domain experts responsible for delivering a differentiated, premium service to our most strategic buy-side clients. This role will be based in our Singapore office.
This is a client-facing, specialist role that combines risk expertise, product mastery, and commercial impact. You will act as a trusted advisor to risk managers, treasury teams, and senior stakeholders, helping them optimize their workflows, deepen their use of MARS, and unlock additional value from Bloomberg’s risk ecosystem. You will play a key role in driving client adoption, supporting sales initiatives, and shaping product development, while delivering an exceptional client experience.
The role can be broken down into 4 core areas:
Client Partnership & Service Excellence
Act as a primary point of contact for strategic ERS clients, delivering a high-touch, consultative service experience
Build deep, trusted relationships across client organisations and provide tailored guidance on risk workflows, analytics, and best practices
Proactively identify client needs, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions across support channels (chat, tickets, calls, and on-site engagements)
Product & Domain Expertise
Develop and maintain deep expertise in MARS, BVAL OTC, and associated workflows across asset classes
Stay current with market developments and regulatory changes, translating these into actionable insights for clients
Serve as a subject matter expert, helping clients interpret complex risk analytics and implement best-in-class approaches
Commercial Impact & Growth Enablement
Partner closely with Sales to support revenue generation, including identifying expansion opportunities, contributing to client engagements, and supporting ERS adoption
Provide structured client feedback and market intelligence to Product and Engineering teams, influencing roadmap prioritisation and driving continuous improvement
Operational Excellence & Innovation
Lead onboarding of new workflows and use cases, ensuring seamless client integration
Identify gaps in processes and workflows, and introduce scalable solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality
Effectively manage client communications during incidents or escalations, ensuring transparency and trust
We'll trust you to:
Own the end-to-end client experience for a portfolio of ERS clients on the MARS platform
Act as a trusted advisor, delivering expert guidance on risk analytics, derivatives valuation, and portfolio workflows
Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across front office, risk, and operations teams
Drive client adoption and usage of advanced MARS capabilities and ERS services
Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to improve client outcomes and platform performance
Translate client needs into actionable product feedback and commercial opportunities
Lead client training sessions, workshops, and strategic reviews
Manage escalations with urgency and professionalism, ensuring effective resolution
You'll need to have:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Services or a Financial Technology company
Experience in OTC derivatives and risk analytics, including practical experience of market value (MTM) calculations and risk sensitivities (the "Greeks") in at least one major asset class (Rates, FX, Equities, or Commodities)
Demonstrated experience in a client-facing or high-level internal stakeholder management role
Experience in building relationships across various stakeholder levels (e.g. technical contacts, product managers, traders, executive team etc.)
Ability to utilize your strong product knowledge, technical skills, and market knowledge to support our Enterprise clients
Ability to assist with product testing and project management work
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills, while being a self-starter and a proactive collaborator
High level of energy, creativity, flexibility, and dedication - a willingness to focus and commit to finding the best solution for our clients
Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
Strong presentation and communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex analytics and recommend best practices
Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalent qualifications
We'd love to see:
Proficiency with market practice on risk management and derivatives valuation
CFA or FRM qualification
Prior experience with mortgages (MBS, CMBS, RMBS, TBA’s, CLO’s, Pools, etc.) with an understanding of prepay assumptions in pricing models
Knowledge of regulations such as FRTB, SIMM, SA-CCR
Passion for technology and demonstrated experience with Python and/or other programming languages
Prior working experience with the Bloomberg suite of products
This role requires a commitment to a four-year development path, beginning with a strong foundation in our core Risk products, progressing into advanced module specialization, and ultimately growing into a proactive consultative role for our strategic customer base.
