What will you do?
Define and develop the FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery) architecture for space systems.
Ensure compliance with ECSS standards, particularly ECSS-E-ST-70-11C and ECSS-E-ST-70-41.
Design system-level autonomy concepts and functional architectures.
Perform trade-off analyses between hardware redundancy, software autonomy, and ground intervention strategies.
Apply SAVOIR FDIR Handbook guidelines and reference architectures to ensure standardization and best practices.
Coordinate FDIR-related activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Support system engineering activities, ensuring integration of FDIR into overall spacecraft architecture.
Review and validate technical documentation to guarantee consistency, quality, and compliance.
What are we looking for?
✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
✅ Proven track record in complex space system projects with focus on FDIR architecture, system-level autonomy, or functional engineering.
✅ Deep expertise in the ECSS framework, especially ECSS-E-ST-70-11C and ECSS-E-ST-70-41 standards.
✅ Demonstrated familiarity with the SAVOIR FDIR Handbook and related reference architectures.
✅ Strong capability to manage complex trade-offs between hardware, software, and operational strategies.
✅ 5–10 years of experience working under ECSS standards.
✅ High level of English.
