About Position:
We are looking for an experienced Principal Terraform Architect to lead enterprise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives on AWS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining Terraform architecture standards, governing reusable module libraries, enabling cloud migration programs, and driving cloud automation at scale. This role requires strong expertise in Terraform, AWS architecture, platform.

What You'll Do:
Define and govern enterprise Terraform module library strategy.
Design reusable, scalable, secure, and production-ready AWS infrastructure patterns.
Establish Terraform standards, naming conventions, tagging frameworks, and module development guidelines.
Maintain compatibility with Terraform v1.5+ and AWS Provider v5.x+.
Create and review reusable infrastructure patterns across compute, networking, storage, databases, security, monitoring, governance, and CI/CD services.
Lead GitOps-based Terraform delivery pipelines and automation initiatives.
Define CI/CD standards incorporating Terraform validation, security scanning, policy enforcement, and cost optimization.
Architect Terraform state management strategies using AWS S3 and DynamoDB.
Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
Mentor Terraform engineers, cloud architects, and platform teams.
Drive architectural decisions, governance standards, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
Support cloud migration programs through reusable Terraform patterns and technical guidance.
Collaborate with platform, security, and cloud engineering teams.
Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, cost efficiency, and operational scalability.
Expertise You'll Bring:
12+ years of IT and cloud engineering experience.
6+ years of enterprise-scale Terraform architecture experience.
Proven experience building and governing Terraform module libraries supporting 500+ modules and 1000+ cloud resources.
Extensive experience with AWS architecture and multi-account cloud governance.
Strong expertise in Terraform (HCL) and Terraform Cloud/Enterprise.
Deep understanding of AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
Experience with GitOps and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, and ArgoCD.
Hands-on expertise with Sentinel and OPA Policy-as-Code frameworks.
Experience with AWS Control Tower and Account Factory for Terraform (AFT).
Strong knowledge of Terratest, TFLint, Tfsec, Checkov, and Infrastructure Security best practices.
Experience managing Terraform state across multi-account AWS environments.
Knowledge of AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store
