Senior Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) Engineer

Full-Time (35hpw) Permanent Opportunity

Salary Range $134,626 - $162,153pa + super

Sydney City location with hybrid working

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of innovative initiatives that centre around automating cyber security and enabling developers to understand potential issues in their systems at an earlier stage. These solutions could involve automating existing tools like issue management, vulnerability scanners and may incorporate proof of concept work utilising artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively contribut3 to and guiding innovation in DevSecOps practices and incorporate agile delivery approaches and technologies,

Carry out and delivering efficient/repeatable platform engineering and application maintenance tasks,

Assist in changes to software engineering and operations with the adoption of new technologies,

Deliver technical consulting and subject matter expertise to projects, including pre-project to ensure risks, interdependencies and exceptions are identified, mitigated or escalated.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

3 years’ experience in DevOps or equivalent that includes working with container platforms and cloud hosted software

3 years’ experience scripting automation or software solutions including CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of integrating cyber security scanning tools into pipelines

Experience working with rest API’s or similar interfaces

Understanding of scripting languages such as JavaScript & Python, Bash & Git.

Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery environments

Strong capability to drive automation, streamline processes, and identify opportunities to modernise and optimise platform services

Demonstrated ability to lead change, resolve complex issues, influence adoption of new technologies, and operate effectively in large, complex environments

Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective relationships across technical and non-technical groups
