The Role

We are seeking a Director, Real-Time Analytics to define and drive Teradata’s strategy, architecture, and execution for real-time analytics and decisioning capabilities across the Vantage platform.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role at the intersection of streaming data, AI-driven insights, and enterprise-scale analytics. You will shape how customers ingest, process, and act on real-time data - enabling next-generation use cases such as fraud detection, personalization, IoT analytics, and operational intelligence.

Success in this role means establishing Teradata as an industry leader in real-time analytics, advancing adoption of low-latency data pipelines, and helping customers operationalize AI at scale for real-time decisioning. You will serve as a technical thought leader and strategic partner across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and customer-facing teams, influencing the direction of the platform without direct people management responsibilities.

What You Will Do

Strategy & Vision

Define the multi-year vision and roadmap for real-time analytics across Teradata Vantage, aligning with AI, data platform, and cloud strategies

Drive innovation in streaming architectures, event-driven processing, and low-latency decisioning systems

Identify emerging technologies and market opportunities to strengthen Teradata’s leadership in real-time analytics and AI-powered decisioning

Platform & Architecture Leadership

Lead the design and evolution of scalable real-time analytics frameworks integrating streaming ingestion, processing, and analytics layers

Ensure architectural consistency across batch and real-time workloads within the Teradata platform

Drive performance optimization for high-throughput, low-latency analytics use cases at enterprise scale

Develop reference architectures, best practices, and technical guidance for internal teams and customers

Product & Engineering Partnership

Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver real-time analytics capabilities embedded within Teradata solutions

Translate customer and business requirements into scalable platform capabilities

Influence technical priorities and drive alignment across complex cross-functional initiatives

Support product strategy through technical expertise, market insights, and customer engagement

Customer & Market Engagement

Act as a trusted technical advisor to key enterprise customers on real-time analytics adoption and modernization strategies

Represent Teradata at customer engagements, industry conferences, analyst briefings, and partner events

Contribute to thought leadership through presentations, white papers, technical content, and industry participation

Help shape market positioning and competitive differentiation for Teradata’s real-time analytics capabilities

Engineering, Product, and Architecture teams across the Core Platform organization

AI/ML and Data Science teams driving advanced analytics capabilities

Cloud platform and partner ecosystem stakeholders

Global enterprise customers and strategic partners

You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and customer engagement, helping shape both internal platform direction and external adoption.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale real-time analytics, streaming, or event-driven platforms

Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native data architectures, and analytics platforms

Demonstrated ability to define and execute technology strategy at enterprise scale

Strong track record of influencing cross-functional technical teams and driving outcomes without direct authority

Foundational understanding of how AI/ML integrates with real-time analytics systems

Experience collaborating with senior technical and business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives

What You Will Bring (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, or similar platforms

Background in real-time decisioning systems (fraud detection, personalization, IoT analytics, operational intelligence, etc.)

Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, customers, and partners

Experience serving as a technical evangelist, architect, or domain expert for complex data platforms

Passion for innovation in AI-driven analytics and modern data architectures
