What you'll do

Data integration & platform: Integrating data across multiple services, dashboards, and pipelines.

Pipeline engineering: Evolve the Durable‑Functions SES pipelines - batch orchestration, retries, transient‑failure handling, per‑document failure tracking, latency/cost profiling.

Productionisation: Ship and validate production hotfixes, resolve false‑positive/false‑negative defects at the code/plumbing level

Evaluation infrastructure: Build and operate the ML eval pipeline plumbing (nightly runs, native artifacts, self‑scheduling, MLflow/Azure ML orchestration) that the Data Scientist uses to measure model quality.

Observability: Close telemetry‑coverage gaps and build App Insights / operational dashboards for the AI pipeline.

Quality & auth: automated/API test coverage, and Snowflake/Azure auth work.

Required

Strong Python engineering with typed, testable code (type hints, unit/integration tests)

Experience building and operating services on Azure (Functions, serverless/event‑driven, managed identity) or equivalent cloud

Comfort with data integration - SQL, warehouses (Snowflake or similar), building pipelines between operational stores and analytics layers

Solid grasp of CI/CD, git workflows and observability (structured logging, tracing, metrics)

Ability to work in a regulated, human‑in‑the‑loop enterprise context where correctness and auditability matter

Nice to have

Experience with an agent-first software development codebase & workflow

LLM / AI application engineering (prompt integration, Azure OpenAI, document/OCR pipelines)

SAP or other enterprise ERP integration (OData, OAuth2 client credentials)

Infrastructure‑as‑code, Key Vault / secrets management, workload identity

BI/dashboard enablement (Power BI) and evaluation/MLOps tooling (MLflow, Azure ML)

Tech stack

Language & tooling: Python 3.12, uv , Ruff, mypy, pytest, Pydantic, devcontainers, just

Cloud (Azure): Azure Functions v4 + Durable Functions (fan‑out/fan‑in orchestration), Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Managed Identity / Workload Identity Federation

Data: Snowflake (curated views, ingestion), Cosmos → Snowflake pipelines, SAP BTP OData integration

Observability: OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, Grafana LGTM

Delivery: GitLab CI/CD, trunk‑based conventional‑commit workflow, ADRs

Agent-first Development: Github Copilot assisted development

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Perth WA
