Join one of Australia's leading healthcare organisations in a Tax Analyst position, supporting a complex multinational group. Reporting to the Head of Tax & Internal Audit, you'll gain exposure to both Australian and international tax matters while working closely with finance leaders and external advisors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5 years' tax experience looking to further develop their career within a large, fast-paced corporate environment.
The Role
As the Tax Analyst, you'll support all aspects of the Group's tax function, including compliance, governance and strategic tax initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and assisting with the review and lodgement of income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax and activity statements
Supporting year-end tax calculations and tax-related audit processes
Liaising with external tax advisors, auditors and regulatory authorities
Assisting with tax data collection, documentation and record management
Supporting cash tax forecasting and global tax strategy initiatives
Contributing to tax governance, policy reviews and maintenance of the tax risk register
Performing tax and business analysis to identify process improvements
Partnering with stakeholders across finance and the broader business on tax-related matters
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
3-5 years' experience in an in-house tax role or within a Big 4/Mid-Tier tax team
Strong understanding of Australian taxation legislation and compliance obligations
Solid financial accounting knowledge and the ability to interpret financial information
Strong Excel skills with analytical and financial modelling capabilities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
