Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Client Services team at Marsh. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Head of Strategy and PMO is a strategic leadership role that connects regional strategy with effective project delivery. You will help shape how Business Client Services prioritises investment, governs the project portfolio, and delivers major strategic initiatives across the Pacific region.

You will partner closely with the Pacific COO, regional leaders, and global stakeholders to establish a Project Management Office framework, strengthen governance, and provide clear executive reporting. This is an opportunity to influence transformation, build delivery capability, and support high-impact outcomes across the business.

We will count on you to:

Establish and lead the Pacific PMO framework, including governance, standards, tools, and delivery practices.

Work with global and regional stakeholders to embed project governance and portfolio oversight across the Pacific region.

Chair or support the Regional Business Council to enable effective prioritisation, decision-making, and escalation.

Lead CAPEX portfolio oversight, including business case support, investment tracking, and regular reporting.

Manage and develop a small delivery team, while building a community of practice for project delivery professionals across the region.

Act as project manager for major strategic initiatives, driving delivery across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change.

What you need to have:

A bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience in project and program management, including leadership of complex, large-scale initiatives.

Demonstrated experience establishing or leading a PMO in a large, matrixed organisation.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence effectively across business and technology teams without direct authority.

What makes you stand out:

Experience with CAPEX management, portfolio governance, and investment decision-making.

Background in regulated financial services, insurance, or a similar environment.

Experience with global PMO frameworks, quarterly business reviews, and board-level reporting.

Why join our team:

We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.

We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.

Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
