The ideal candidate is a proven project manager with extensive experience leading residential and site development projects, mentoring engineering teams, and managing projects from concept through completion while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead residential and commercial land development projects from planning through final delivery
Direct internal engineering teams and coordinate multidisciplinary subconsultants
Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, proposals, and negotiate project agreements
Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall project performance
Serve as the primary client contact while fostering long-term business relationships
Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of project execution
Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering professionals to support career growth
Maintain QA/QC standards and ensure technical accuracy across project deliverables
Apply advanced civil engineering principles to solve complex design challenges
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D throughout project planning, design, and production
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
Minimum 8 years of land development project management experience
Extensive experience managing residential and site development projects
Strong civil engineering design and technical expertise
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams
Strong project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management experience
Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills
Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Arizona

Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Experience managing multiple concurrent land development projects
Strong business development and client retention experience
Experience mentoring junior engineers and project managers
Proven ability to negotiate project scopes and professional service agreements
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Strong understanding of municipal permitting, regulatory requirements, and development processes

Compensation: $115,000–$150,000 annually
