About the role
Shipment Coordination
Arrange and coordinate local and international shipments with freight forwarders and courier providers.
Schedule and manage shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
Monitor shipment progress, proactively follow up on delays, and resolve exceptions.
Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets are achieved.
Documentation Management
Prepare, review, and validate shipping documents, including:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Air Waybill (AWB)
Bill of Lading (B/L)
Export Permits
Manual Delivery Notes (DN) / Invoices
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all shipping documentation before dispatch.
Trade Compliance & Permit Declaration
Ensure all shipments comply with applicable customs regulations and internal company policies.
Request and verify OD / CA permit declarations through freight forwarders.
Validate HS codes, shipment values, country of origin, and export control requirements.
Customer & Internal Coordination
Communicate shipment schedules, updates, and delivery status to customers.
Coordinate closely with Warehouse, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment.
Freight Cost Control
Obtain and evaluate freight quotations from logistics service providers.
Compare transport options based on delivery timelines and cost efficiency.
Ensure shipping costs are properly allocated, verified, and documented.
System Transactions
Create and maintain shipment records in ERP systems.
Perform shipment closure and invoicing transactions accurately and promptly.
Maintain complete and up-to-date logistics and shipping records.
Performance Monitoring
Track outstanding shipments and pending permit approvals.
Prepare shipping reports and monthly KPI metrics for management review.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
Good understanding of Incoterms (EXW, FCA, DAP, DDP, etc.)
Experience in shipping documentation and international logistics operations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications
Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Some experience in shipping, logistics, or freight coordination. Fresh graduates will be considered.
Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,000.00 per month
