About the role
Get to know Altius
Altius was founded in 2001 with a simple aspiration; to drive new heights of workplace health and wellbeing. Since then, we've built a track record of expertise and positive impact in four critical service areas - PeopleSense Psychology & Wellbeing, Rehabilitation Services, Executive Health Solutions, and Workplace Health & Safety - that span the workplace wellbeing spectrum - still driven by a single goal: to elevate the wellbeing of people, workplaces and communities across Australia.
We have a newly created opportunity for a P&C Advisor to join our People & Culture function, supporting our Nabenet, IIME and Ontime Healthcare business units.
Requirements
About the Role
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants genuine breadth of experience across the employee lifecycle. You'll be the first point of contact for day-to-day people matters, provide reliable administration and coordination support, and work closely with a Head of People and Operations who can help you grow your P&C expertise.
You won't be managing people or leading complex ER cases in this role - that's not what this position is. What you will get is hands-on exposure to onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, recruitment coordination, reporting, and policy support, with a clear escalation pathway to senior team members when things get complicated. It's a solid foundation role for someone building toward a broader generalist or advisory career in P&C.
What You'll Be Doing
Coordinating end-to-end employee lifecycle processes - onboarding, offboarding, employment changes and record management
Maintaining accurate HR systems, employee data, leave records and payroll-related information
Preparing people reports, workforce metrics and compliance reporting
Supporting recruitment administration, including job postings, interview coordination and candidate communication
Acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers on P&C policies and processes
Assisting with employment contracts, letters and correspondence
Supporting performance management, probation, leave and flexible working processes
Contributing to culture initiatives, internal events and continuous improvement projects
What We're Looking For
Foundational knowledge of HR/P&C practices, ideally with some exposure to Australian employment legislation and the NES
Strong administrative and organisational skills with genuine attention to detail
Confident written and verbal communication
Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines
Trustworthy with confidential information
Familiarity with HRIS, payroll systems and Microsoft Office
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to learn
Benefits
What You'll Get
Broad, hands-on exposure across the full employee lifecycle
Support and mentoring from an experienced P&C leadership team
The chance to shape a newly created role within a growing team
A collaborative, values-driven workplace culture
