About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Country Manager, the successful candidate will liaise with member airlines and other relevant industry and government stakeholders across Brazil to maximize the value of IATA in terms of representing and serving the airline industry.

What your day would be like

Support the advocacy processes for the adoption of industry best practices in both passenger and cargo businesses.

Support member airlines and other industry stakeholders in the diagnosis, design, and implementation of aviation industry initiatives.

Support the Country Manager to: a) disseminate across governments and local authorities the benefits that commercial aviation brings to the economy and the development of the countries, b) promote the adoption of standards, best practices and international agreements, and c) coordinate the advocacy of IATA positions on key regulatory issues.

Actively participate in the creation and preservation of close relationships with member airlines and other industry stakeholders, including airports, regulators, ANSPs, DGCAs, tourism agencies, suppliers, and service providers.

Coordinate the IATA / government authorities’ liaising as needed

Responsible for the coordination, alignment with the Country Manager and with the Assistant Director External Relations of multidisciplinary working groups comprised of stakeholders from private and public sectors aimed at addressing different topics of the aviation agenda.

Attend meetings and conferences with industry stakeholders.

Organize meetings and events as appropriate.

Provide timely reports to the Country Manager and or/ Regional Leadership Team (RLT) and Headquarters Office as appropriate,

Any other tasks as assigned by the Country Manager.

We would love to hear from you if

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or another relevant discipline.

3 to 5 years of professional / working experience, with at least three years of experience in a similar role.

Aviation industry background would be an asset.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in complex cross-cultural / international environments and establish personal relationships is required.

Excellent PC skills, particularity with MS Office applications, as well as familiarity with databases. Basic knowledge or AI principles will be an asset.

Fluent in English and Portuguese, with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Additional language skills would be considered an asset.

Travel Required: Y: 10%
