Job Title: NCR R10 POS Engineer

Location: Bangalore, Experience: 8+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled NCR R10 Point of Sale (POS) Engineer with strong expertise in development, configuration, and testing. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience with NCR R10 POS systems and a solid understanding of retail/POS environments. This role requires the ability to support end to end solution delivery, including system customization, integration, validation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Development

. Develop, and customize NCR R10 POS applications based on business requirements

. Work with NCR frameworks, APIs, and extension points to build enhancements

. Develop integrations between POS and upstream/downstream systems

. Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues

Configuration

. Configure NCR R10 POS components, including menus, screens, workflows, tenders, and promotions

. Manage environment setup and configuration across development, QA, and production

. Maintain configuration documentation and ensure compliance with standards

. Support deployment activities and release management

Testing

. Develop and execute functional, integration, and regression test cases

. Perform POS system validation including transaction flows, payment processing, and edge cases

. Collaborate with QA teams for test automation and defect tracking

. Participate in UAT cycles and provide defect resolution support

Required Skills & Qualifications

. Strong hands on experience with NCR R10 POS platform

. Proficiency in POS scripting / NCR SDKs (or relevant technologies used in NCR R10)

. Experience in POS configuration tools and setup

. Solid understanding of retail business processes and POS workflows

. Experience in testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management

. Familiarity with integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging systems)

. Knowledge of version control tools and deployment tools

. Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

. Must have prior experience working at NCR Voyix

. Experience working with NCR Advanced Store platforms

. Exposure to payment systems and peripheral device integrations (printers, scanners, EMV devices)

. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

. Prior experience supporting production environments

Soft Skills

. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

. Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment

. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Nice to Have

. Experience with cloud platforms or modern POS transformations

. Prior experience working with NCR or retail clients
